"the best recording studio value in Los Angeles"

New clients receive ONE FREE HOUR of studio time

Whether you are in a band or you are a hip hop artist on your own or you are a singer/songwriter, getting started to record your demo can be overwhelming. Call us or email us and we will be glad to talk to you about the different approaches and options available to you. Every project is unique and we believe in treating it with the special attention required.

A band may want to record their demo with everyone playing their parts all at once, or they may want to break it down and record drums first, then bass, then guitars, etc. A metal project may not have the same needs and flow as a soft rock project. And hip hop, r and b, dance, and pop are all different things as well once you get in the studio. Some artists have a producer who is making tracks for them and others are starting from scratch. There are questions about how to bring the instrumentals to the studio? Do we need to bring our own instruments? And how long is it going to take to do the vocals? Here are some basic guidelines you can use as a starting point in planning but remember we are glad to talk you through it...no obligation.

Band demos start at around $600 for a one day recording for a 4 song EP. I would never tell anyone how to spend their money (seriously) but if you think about having 4 or 5 people in a band and you think about planning a recording day on a Friday or Saturday...It ends up costing a little over $100 each...not much more than some people spend going out on the the town on a normal weekend night...and you have a recording forever, instead of a hangover! Anyway, that's just a thought. We can do more elaborate band demos or simpler ones, so just let us know what you need. Classic rock, death metal, pop/rock...whatever your style...

For hip hop, rap, r and b, dance, crossover artists, you can start with a simple mixtape song or laying down vocals to a beat someone made for you or that you bought online. A mixtape track might take an hour or so in the studio from start to finish. If you like vocal effects, our engineers are well-versed in all of todays popular effects, from autotune chop n screw, stutters, etc. We have just a 2 hour minimum to book a session. If you plan ahead you can get a song or two done and be off and running with the beginning of your demo.
