Los Angeles Recording Studio serving San Fernando Valley, Orange County, Riverside areas of Southern California and artists online and worldwide

Recording Studio News – May 30, 2015

Composer Sidney James, from Miami, was back in studio this week continuing work on his project.  As always the room was filled with great music and some of the best musicians and singers around.  Throughout the course of our relationship with Sidney, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Phillip Ingram, Randy Crenshaw, Norman Large, Terry Wood, Dan Higgins, Kevin Dorsey, Christina Saffran, Angela Carole Brown and others.

On the hip hop side this week, we welcomed rappers Matt Nayard and Jacob Bowser (The Dime a Dozen) to the studio for the first time.  Robery and K Dot King continued work on their forthcoming hip hop project All Kings with beat production by M-Dott Fresh, K dot King, Lex Esquivel, and Italian Beatman Mirko Carbone.  SFV rapper DaMan continued work on new material, and we finalized some mastering for L.A. producer Chris Malcolm’s forthcoming indie release, “Adolescence,” with songs featuring Michael Kim, Jyln Jml, and Eduardo Sanchez, with additional production from Andrew Greenlee.

Los Angeles hip hop artists Turdle on the Beat and Hefty, represented by Leverett Management came in to mix their self-recorded singles in advance of their iTunes release and tour this summer.

Citizen Mofo continued to sing and speak out for what is right with his unique blend of outrage and insight.

After much instrumental work, we got our first taste of vocals with Donny Radwell.  Based in Wyoming, Donny has been mixing several songs with us for about a year now.  I think I’m going to start keeping track of rappers and the state they represent…and try to get to 50!  I’ll make a post soon with the states and other countries that have represented at the recording studio to date…coming soon!

We had another date with In Fidelity veteran Bugle Black and continued last week’s work mixing tracks for the IE’s Ghettoplex.

And, we closed out the week with a BIG BANG!  We recorded our first EP with L.A. based metal band Malice at Three.  Rockin’ hard all through the day and night.  Until next week.  Thanks to everyone for a great week of music and friendship.
