Los Angeles Recording Studio serving San Fernando Valley, Orange County, Riverside areas of Southern California and artists online and worldwide

Recording Studio News – May 22, 2015

Trumpets and hiphop, sprinkle in a little classic rock, add a little protest music, and even a little dance track.  It was a wild and varied week at the recording studio.

We welcomed DaMan and his ryhmes in for the first time. Region was back representing for longtime studio favs R.S.L. (instagram @provokersl – going on 10 years working with us!).  Bugle Black – (seven years and counting himself!) and Chicago’s Chuck Hamilton – blessed us with their unique blend of trumpet and hiphop.

We had some other first-timers as well from the L.A. underground hiphop scene…Ghettoplex, a hip hop duo from the Inland Empire, mixed their first track with us, “Hike Up” feat. Berto and Big Rog @ghettoplex.

NYC native Trinity  continued work on her album with some dance grooves (production provided by J Plot Productions) and some additional horn work from Jonathan Manness (first time here).

Speaking of J Plot…he was also here continuing his work with Flythe and Will K.

And we sent the first song from the Max Laser Band’s forthcoming full length “Beautiful Heartbreak” off for mastering to Chris Graham Mastering in Ohio.  Executive Producer Nick Kazandjieff is almost ready to pronounce this baby complete!  Full list of album credits later (it’s long – 4 studios and many, many musicians that were all funneled into one saucy album that Nick and David put together here.

And lastly, we welcomed Citizen Mofo to the studio this week.  We are already plowing through his arsenal of astute political commentary and protest songs.  If only we all did our little part…remember, if you’re not part of the solution, you are part of the problem…check out his youtube page

Until next week.
